About Me
I've always cared about the details, even when it made people uncomfortable.

When I was eight, I tried to redesign the menu at our local ice cream parlor. It was cluttered and confusing, and I was sure it could be easier to read and help people better understand their options. So, I did what any normal 8-year-old would do: I made suggestions. And I got dismissed.

“Why do you care so much?” someone asked.

For a while, I wondered that too. But now I know: I care because people deserve better experiences, not harder ones. That moment didn’t stop me. It shaped me.
Who I Am
Today, I’m an executive design leader who helps teams, companies, and systems move toward clarity and connection. I lead UX, Customer Insights, and Global Content at Alteryx, where I work at the intersection of product, storytelling, and strategy to shape experiences that actually work for users and for the people building them.

The road here wasn’t always smooth. For years, I was told I was too much or not enough, often at the same time.
Too loud. Not vocal enough.
Too intense. Not passionate enough.
Too analytical. Too creative. Too something.
Eventually, I stopped adjusting my volume and started listening to my own voice. I’ve learned how to lead with vision, empathy, and rigor, without shrinking. I’ve made it part of my mission to create spaces where others can do the same.

That mission has taken a new shape in my work: I’m now focused on demystifying design for product people. In too many rooms, design is still treated like hot sauce instead of yeast. It's not something you sprinkle on at the end, it's something that needs to be baked in from the beginning.

So, I share practical tools, hard-won insights, and real talk to help:
-
Product teams understand what real UX is (and isn’t)
-
Engineers and PMs work better with design partners
-
Designers communicate with more clarity, impact, and influence

Whether I’m writing, speaking, or leading teams, I believe great design is how we make better decisions, build stronger products, and work better together.

What Grounds Me
When I’m not deep in strategy, structure, or storytelling, you’ll find me in my kitchen, in my flower garden, or traveling to a new city. I always have two books going: one business, one play. I meditate. I make good lattes. I grow impatiens. I believe small rituals hold big power.
This site is my field guide, reflection space, and contribution to a bigger conversation.
If you’ve ever felt the tension between vision and velocity, or between “too much” and “not enough,” I hope something here speaks to you.

I may be called high maintenance, but if you need help, I'm all in. We'll do it together, thoroughly.
